Douglas Engelbart invented the mouse (Sewell & Thede, 2012).

Contributions of a nurse led to the development of an obstetrical computer-assisted instruction nursing simulation exercise (Saba, 2011).

A third generation of smaller sized computers was developed to include the internal circuit that allowed the use of multiple programs via a centralized program (Sewell & Thede, 2012).
